Cpl. Langston L. Thompson replaces a part on an AH-1Z Super Cobra aboard USS Makin Island here Dec. 30. Thompson, a Birdsprings, Ariz., native, serves with the 11th Marine Expeditionary unit's aviation combat element, Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 268 (Reinforced). The Camp Pendleton, Calif., unit deployed from San Diego Nov. 14 as part of a regularly scheduled deployment to the Western Pacific and Middle East regions.
