An abandoned structure pocked by bullets serves as an operations center for a Navy and Marine Corps team that practiced an amphibious landing on this uninhabited island Nov. 20. Ground and logistics combat elements of the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit landed from the amphibious transport dock ship Cleveland and the amphibious dock landing ship Rushmore while the MEU’s reconnaissance Marines trained with Kuwaiti commandos.
