A Navy air-cushioned landing craft delivers 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit personnel and equipment from the Persian Gulf to this uninhabited island Nov. 20. The Navy and Marine Corps team practiced an amphibious landing from the amphibious transport dock ship Cleveland and the amphibious dock landing ship Rushmore while the MEU’s reconnaissance Marines trained with Kuwaiti commandos.
