Marines from the MEU Service Support Group 11, Marine Expeditionary Unit, Camp Pendleton, set up a bivouac site during the building of an Initial Support Base, also known as a Forward Operating Base by the Marines of MSSG- 11, during a Humanitarian Assistance Operation training exercise at Red Beach here Nov. 9. Marines and sailors from security, communications, medical, motor transport, utilities and other support detachments set up the FOB to serve as the central distribution and re-supply point of food, water, medical and other materials for the HAO site.
