TAURAMA, Papua New Guinea (April 17, 2017) Papua New Guinea Defense Force (PNGDF) service members provide perimeter security while moving past a building during a military tactics exchange conducted alongside U.S. Marines with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit at Taurama Barracks as part of a theater security cooperation engagement, April 17. Marines and Sailors embarked aboard USS Comstock (LSD 45) are in Papua New Guinea, focused on increasing military ties with the PNGDF and preparedness for military support to civil authority roles.
