U.S. Marines Corporals Christopher Russell (left) and Sean Bensel, landing support specialists, wait for a CH-53E Super Stallion to get into position during helicopter external load training at Arta Beach, Djibouti, Feb. 16, 2017. A helicopter support team’s primary mission is to attach supplies, equipment or vehicles to the external lift hooks of helicopters to transport them in an expedient manner. Russell and Bensel are with Combat Logistics Battalion 11 and the Stallion and crew are with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 163 (Reinforced), 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit.
