AT SEA – A CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter prepares to land on the USS Makin Island (LHD 8), during flight deck landing qualifications as part of Amphibious Squadron – Marine Expeditionary Unit Integration (PMINT) July 12, 2016. PMINT is the first at-sea period in the MEU’s pre-deployment training cycle and is designed to develop a strong working relationship between the Marines of the 11th MEU and sailors of Amphibious Squadron 5 prior to their deployment to the Pacific and Central Commands’ areas of operations.
