A Japan Ground Self Defense Force soldier provides notional suppressing fire while rehearsing for a platoon attack training exercise, aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton Calif., Jan. 25, 2016. The range provided the Japanese soldiers with a realistic training scenario with varied terrain, unknown distance target shooting as well as moving and pop-up targets.
