U.S. Marines and Japan Ground Self Defense Force (JGSDF) soldiers pause for a group photo at the end of their final planning conference for Exercise Iron Fist 2016. Exercise Iron Fist is an annual bilateral amphibious training exercise between the USMC and JGSDF designed to enhance our ability to plan, communicate and conduct amphibious operations. The 11th MEU and JGSDF will conduct the exercise from late January to early March 2016.
