A Marine with Echo Company, Battalion Landing Team 2nd Battalion, 1st Marines, 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, posts security during an island seizure operation as part of Certification Exercise (CERTEX) on San Clemente Island, California, June 13. CERTEX is the final evaluation of the 11th MEU and Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group prior to deployment.
