Marines with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 163 (Reinforced), 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, fasten the rotor blades of a CH-53E Super Stallion during an aircraft towing exercise on the flight deck of the USS San Diego during Composite Training Unit Exercise (COMPTUEX) off the coast of San Diego, May 13, 2014. COMPTUEX serves as the second at-sea period for the 11th MEU, in which the unit will focus on the enabling and supporting functions necessary for success during full mission profile operations on the upcoming deployment.
