Marines and sailors with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit embark on a 6-mile hike as part of a Fleet Marine Force qualification course at Fort Hunter Liggett, Calif., March 25. Being FMF qualified denotes sailors who have completed a battery of tests and tasks, which allow them to effectively support the Marine Corps Fleet Marine Force. The hike occurred during Realistic Urban Training Marine Expeditionary Unit Exercise (RUTMEUEX) 14-1, the 11th MEU’s first large-scale opportunity for integration of all its subordinate elements.
