Cmdr. Jon Conroe, the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit chaplain, recites a prayer as part of the 11th MEU’s Marine Corps Ball ceremony here Nov. 9. Every year, Marines all around the world host a Marine Corps Ball celebrating the day the Marine Corps was first established. Before his prayer, Conroe expressed in his own words the importance of this tradition to the members in attendance.
