Marines from the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit conduct rifle manual during a relief and appointment ceremony May 16, at the 21 Area parade deck on Camp Pendleton, Calif. During the ceremony, Sgt. Maj. Scott T. Pile, outgoing sergeant major of the 11th MEU, welcomed Sgt. Maj. Troy E. Black to his new post as the 11th MEU sergeant major. Pile joined the 11th MEU in May 2010 and will assume the duties as sergeant major of Training and Education Command, Quantico, Va. Black is transitioning from the Combat Logistics Battalion 5, Camp Pendleton, Calif.
