Maritime raid force member Cpl. Nathan M. Sleeman collects a rope from a CH-46E Sea Knight with Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron (Reinforced) after fast-roping from the helicopter Dec. 2. The squadron serves as the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s aviation combat element, which embarked USS New Orleans, USS Makin Island and USS Pearl Harbor in San Diego Nov. 14, beginning a seven-month deployment to the western Pacific and Middle East regions.
