Cpl. Shawn R. Pavlik provides security here Aug. 21 during a raid with Company L, Battalion Landing Team 3/1, 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit. The company, reinforced by tanks and amphibious assault vehicles, conducted their first ship-to-shore raid since BLT 3/1 joined the 11th MEU in May. Pavlik is a 21-year-old Lady Smith, Wis., native and a radio operator with the company.
