AT SEA (August 18, 2016)-Marines perform maintenance on the tail rotor of a CH-53E Super Stallion on a scheduled maintenance day during the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit Composite Training Unit Exercise. During a training exercise such as COMPTUEX, air assets are heavily taxed; necessitating scheduled maintenance days to ensure aircraft are safe and ready to fly for the remainder of the exercise. COMPTUEX is the third of five training exercises for the MEU and the second of three at-sea training evolutions for the ARG/MEU team. The Marines are with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 163 (Reinforced). (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Brandon Maldonado)
