U.S. Marines with 1st Battalion, 4th Marines, and 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (11th MEU), give a tour of Marine Corps Base Twentynine Palms training grounds to members of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) during a site survey as part of Iron Fist mid-planning conference, Twentynine Palms, California, Sept. 30, 2015. Exercise Iron Fist is an annual bilateral amphibious training exercise with the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, taking place in Southern California early next year.
