MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON - Sgt. Maj. Scott T. Pile, the sergeant major of the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, marches across the parade deck with the 11th MEU battle colors during a change of command ceremony here, March 28. Before the colors can be passed from the outgoing commanding officer to the incoming CO, the sergeant major of the designated unit must receive the colors and pass it to the outgoing CO so that he can relinquish his command of the unit.
