Executive Officer
Lieutenant Col. Christopher Scheele
LtCol Chris Scheele is a native of Washington D.C. and graduated from the University of Washington with a B.A. in Psychology. Commissioned in 2006, he became a Naval Aviator in 2009 selected to fly the UH -1N and transitioned to the UH-1Y in 2011.
LtCol Scheele’s assignments include tours with HMLA-267; HMLA-469; Air Officer, 1st Tank Battalion; Operations Officer, HMLA-773; Current Readiness Officer, MAG-39; Operations Officer and Executive Officer, HMLA 469; Commandant’s Action Group, and Strategy and Pacific Posture Branches, Strategy and Plans Division, Plans, Policies, and Operations, Headquarters Marine Corps.
LtCol Scheele has deployed with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable), in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM 12.1/12.2, and as part of the Unit Deployment Program to Okinawa, Japan. While assigned to HMLA-773, he also participated in Defense Support of Civil Authorities during Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.
LtCol Scheele holds a BA in Psychology, an MA in Leadership Studies, and an MA in Military Operational Studies. LtCol Scheele is a graduate of the Weapons and Tactics Instructor Course and the Army Command and General Staff College as a distinguished graduate. LtCol Scheele’s personal decorations include the Air Medal (numeral four), the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (with three stars), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and a Meritorious Service Medal.
